$Mg_2C_3+2H_2O\rightarrow C_3H_4+2MgO$
$C_3H_4(C_3^{4-}+4H^+)$
Two sigma bonds
Two pi bonds are there in $C_3^{4-}$
Hence (a) is the correct answer.
