The equivalent spring constant of the system is

$(a)\;6\;N/m\qquad(b)\;15\;N/m\qquad(c)\;12\;N/m\qquad(d)\;3\;N/m$

Answer : (a) $\;6\;N/m$
Explanation :
The 6 N/m springs are in series , ... their equivalent is $\;\large\frac{6 \times6}{12}=3\;$ and now the 3 N/m and 3 N/m are in parallel ....The equivalent is 3 N/m +3 N/m=6 N/m
