A amplitude modulated wave has maximum amplitude of 700mV and minimum amplitude of 200mV.Calculate the modulation factor

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;55.55\%\\(b)\;45.12\%\\(c)\;60.55\%\\(d)\;35.12\%\end{array}$

1 Answer

Modulation factor in %=$\large\frac{V_{max}-V_{min}}{V_{max}+V_{min}}$$\times 100$
$\Rightarrow \large\frac{700-200}{700+200}$$\times 100$
$\Rightarrow \large\frac{500}{900}$$\times 100$
$\Rightarrow 55.55\%$
Hence (a) is the correct answer.
