True-or-false: If $\overrightarrow{a}$ and $\overrightarrow{b}$ are adjacent sides of a rhombus,then $\overrightarrow{a}.\overrightarrow{b}=0$

  • Rhombus is a parallelogram, whose diagonals bisects at right angles.
  • $ \overrightarrow a. \overrightarrow b=0$ if $ \overrightarrow a \perp \overrightarrow b=0$
We know that if $ \overrightarrow a \perp \overrightarrow b$ then $ \overrightarrow a . \overrightarrow b=0$
Vector area of a parallelogram is $\overrightarrow a \times \overrightarrow b$
In a rhombus the adjacent sides are not perpendicular to each other.
Hence the statment is $false$
