# A plot of log x/m versus log p for the adsorption of a gas on a solid gives a straight line with slope equal to

For the adsorption of a gas on a solid $\frac{x}{m} = kp^{1/n}$ This equation is known as Freundlich Adsorption Isotherm.
On taking logarithm on both sides, we obtain,
$\Longrightarrow log \frac{x}{m} = log k + \frac{1}{n} log p$
$\therefore$ plot of log x/m versus log p will be linear with slope = 1/n .
