When propyne is treated with aqueous $H_2SO_4$ in presence of $HgSO_4$ the major product is

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;\text{Propanal}\\(b)\; \text{Propyl hydrogen sulphate}\\(c)\;\text{Acetone}\\(d)\;\text{Propanol}\end{array}$

$CH_3C\equiv CH+H_2O\quad\underrightarrow{H_2SO_4,HgSO_4}\quad CH_3CH(OH)=CH_2\rightarrow CH_3COCH_3(\text{acetone})$
Hence (c) is the correct answer.
