The alkene $C_6H_{10}$ producing $OHC(CH_2)_4CHO$ on ozonolysis is

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;\text{Hexene-1}&(b)\;\text{Hexene-3}\\(c)\;\text{Cyclohexene-1}&(d)\;\text{1-Methyl cyclohexene-1}\end{array}$

1 Answer

Since the alkene $(C_6H_{10})$ on ozonolysis gives a single dialdehyde containing six C-atoms,therefore the alkene must be cyclohexene
Hence (c) is the correct answer.
