During debromination of meso-dibromobutane,the major compound formed is

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;\text{n-butane}&(b)\;\text{1-butene}\\(c)\;\text{Cis-2-butene}&(d)\;\text{trans-2-butene}\end{array}$

It is a trans-elimination reaction.Thus meso-di-bromobutane on debromination yields trans-2-butene.
Hence (d) is the correct answer.
