Ans: (B) : recognize palindromic sequences
Each restriction enzyme functions by "inspecting" the length of the DNA sequence. Once it finds a specific recognition site, it will bind to the DNA and cut each of the two strands of the helix at specific points in their sugar - phosphate backbone. Each restriction enzyme recognizes a palindromic nucleotide sequence in a DNA. In hind III palindrome sequence has six base pairs.
