An experiment succeeds thrice as often as it fails. Find the probability that in the next five trials, there will be at least three successes

Assume that the total number of outcomes are 4 so 

P(success)=3/4=p and P(failure)=1/4=1-p=q

now wih binomial expansion the answer can be found 

P(X greater than or equal to 3)=5C3 p*3 q*2 + 5C4 p*4 q*1 + 5C5 p*5 q*0 
270/1024 + 405/1024 + 243/1024 = 918/1024 = 0.896
