Zinc sulphate contains 22.65% of zinc and 43.9% of water of crystallization. If the law of constant proportions is true, then the weight of zinc required to produce 20g of the crystals will be

$\begin{array}{1 1}(a)\;45.3g& (b)\;4.53g \\(c)\;0.453g&(d)\;453g\end{array} $

100g of crystals are obtained from =22.65g of Zn
$\therefore$ 20g of crystals are obtained from =$\large\frac{22.65}{100}$$\times 20$
$\Rightarrow 4.53g$
Hence (b) is the correct option.
