Invert sugar is

$\begin {array} {1 1} (A)\;\text{a variety of cane sugar }\\ (B)\;\text{Optically inactive form of sugar} \\ (C)\;\text{mixture of glucose and fructose in equimolar proportion} \\ (D)\;\text{mixture of glucose and galacose} \end {array}$

Glucose has dextro rotation while fructose has laevo rotation so when they are mixed in equal proportion and the resulting mixture loses its optical activity
