5g of ethane are confined in a bulb of 1 litre capacity . The bulb is so weak that it will burst if the pressure exceeds 10 atm. At what temperature will be the pressure of gas reach the bursting value?

Given
w = 5g
m = 30 for $C_2H_6$
V = 1 litre
Let the bulb burst at T kelvin i.e when pressure becomes 10 atm
$PV = \large\frac{w}{m}RT$
$10\times1 = \large\frac{5}{30}\times0.0821\times T$
T = 730.81 K
$= 457.81^{\large\circ}C$
Hence answer is (A)
