# What quantity of limestone $(CaCO_3)$ on heating will give $56\;kg$ of $CaO$?

$(a)\;100\;kg \\ (b)\;44\;kg \\(c)\;56\;kg\\(d)\;1000\;kg$
Can you answer this question?

$CaCO_3 \underrightarrow{\Delta} CaO +CO_2$
$56\;g$ ie 1 mole of CaO is released from $100\;g$(mole) of $CaCO_3$
$\therefore 56\;kg(56000\;g)$ of $CaO$ is obtained from
$\large\frac{100}{56}$$\times 56000 \;g =10^5\;g=100\;kg$
Hence d is the correct answer.
