# If A is a matrix of order 3 x 4 and B is matrix of order 5 x 4, what is the order of matrix (AB)'.

• Product AB is defined only when the number of columns in A is equal to the number of rows in B
Given:
A= $3\times 4$
B= $5\times 4$
A matrix is denoted as A = m x n where m = rows n = columns
Here column of Matrix A = 4
Here rows of Matrix B = 5
AB =does not exist. As per the property the product of two matrices is defined, if the number of columns of A is equal to the number of rows of B.
But here $3\neq 4$
Hence AB is not defined.
