Find the radian measures corresponding to the following degree measures :-$-47^{\large\circ}30'$

$\begin{array}{1 1}(A)\;\large\frac{-19\pi}{72}\normalsize radians&(B)\;\large\frac{19\pi}{72}\normalsize radians\\(C)\;\large\frac{19}{72}\normalsize radians&(D)\;\large\frac{19\pi}{36}\normalsize radians\end{array} $

Toolbox:
  • $\pi$ radians=$180^{\large\circ}$
  • 1 radian=$(\large\frac{180}{\pi})$
$60'=1^{\large\circ}$
$30'=\large\frac{30^{\large\circ}}{60^{\large\circ}}$
$\;\;\;\;\;\;=\large\frac{1^{\large\circ}}{2}$
$47^{\large\circ}30'=47+\large\frac{1}{2}$ degree
$\Rightarrow \large\frac{95}{2}$ degree
$180^{\large\circ}=\pi$ radians
$-\large\frac{95^{\large\circ}}{2}=-\frac{\pi}{180}\times \frac{95}{2}$ radians
$\Rightarrow \large\frac{-19\pi}{72}$ radians
Hence (A) is the correct answer.
