Reduce the following equation into slope - intercept form and find their slopes and the $y$ - intercepts. $y=0$

$\begin{array}{1 1}(A)\;m = 0 ; y = 0 \\(B)\; m = \infty ; c = \text{ cannot be determined} \\(C)\; m = \text{cannot be determined} ; c = \infty \\(D)\;m = \infty ; c = \infty \end{array} $

  • Slope intercept form of an equation is $y=mx+c$, where $m$ is the slope and $c$ is the $y$ - intercept.
Given equation is $ y=0$
This can be written as
$\qquad y = 0x+0c$
Hence $m=0$ and $c=0$
Hence the slope is 0 and $y$ intercept is 0.
