An insulated container containing monoatomic gas of molar mass $m$ is moving with velocity $v_0$.If the container is suddenly stopped,find the change in temperature.

Loss in K.E=$\Delta E=\large\frac{1}{2}$$(mn)v_0^2$
Temperature changes by $\Delta T$,then
$\large\frac{3}{2}$$nR\Delta T=\large\frac{1}{2}$$mnv_0^2$
$\Delta T=\large\frac{mv_0^2}{3R}$
Hence (C) is the correct answer.
