How many 3-digit numbers can be formed by using the digits 1 to 9,if no digit is repeated?

$\begin{array}{1 1}(A)\;27\\(B)\;500\\(C)\;504\\(D)\;604\end{array} $

3-digit numbers are to be formed
(i.e) Three places are to be filled with digits 1 to 9
This can be done in $9\times 8\times 7=504$ ways
Hence (C) is the correct answer.
