Solve for x : \( 2\: tan^{-1}(\cos x)=tan^{-1}(2 cosec x) \)

Toolbox:
  • \( 2tan^{-1}x=tan^{-1}\large\frac{2x}{1-x^2}\)
\( tan^{-1}\large\frac{2cosx}{1-cos^2x}=tan^{-1}\: 2\: cosecx\)
\( \Rightarrow \large\frac{2cosx}{sin^2x}=2\: cosec \: x\)= 2\: cosec \: x\)
\( cotx=1 \Rightarrow x = \large\frac{\pi}{4}\)
