An infinite conducting plate carries a uniform charge density $\sigma$. A particle of charge $q$ and mass $m$ is held in front of the plate. The particle falls on the plate with acceleration equal to the acceleration due to gravity.What is the value of the charge q?

The value of the charge q is $- \bigg(\frac{2 \in_0}{\sigma} \bigg)$
Hence C is the correct answer.
