1.081 g of Cu displaces 3.67 g of Ag. What is the equivalent weight of Cu? (Eq. wt. of Ag = 108)

1 Answer

Wt. of Ag displaced = 3.670 g
Eq. wt. of Ag = 108
Wt. of Cu = used for displacing silver = 1.081 g
We know, Eq.wt of Ag/Eq.wt of Cu=Wt.of Ag/Wt.of Cu
$\Rightarrow \large\frac{108}{X}=\frac{3.67}{1.081}$
$\Rightarrow X=\large\frac{108}{3.39}$$=31.85$
Therefore, equivalent weight of copper is 31.85.
Hence (B) is the correct answer.
