5 g of NaCl is dissolved in 1000 g of water. If the density of the resulting solution is 0.997 g per cc, calculate (i) molality

No. of moles of NaCl (n) = $\large\frac{5}{58.5}$$=0.0854$
Weight of water = 1000 g
Density of solution = 0.997g/cc
Molality =No.of moles of solute/Wt.of solvent in grams$\times 1000$
$\Rightarrow \large\frac{0.0854}{1000}$$\times 1000=0.085$m
Hence (A) is the correct answer.
