The electric field outside a charged long straight wire is given by $ E= -\large\frac{5000}{r} $$ Vm^{-1}$ and is radially inward. What is the sign of the charge on the wire? Find the value of $V_B – V_A$ if $r_B = 0.6 m$ and $r_A = 0.3m$. Which point is at the higher potential?
