Osmotic pressure of blood is 7.65 atm at 310 K. An aqueous solution of glucose that will be isotonic with blood is ______ wt/ vol.

1 Answer

We know $\pi V = nRT$ for glucose and blood;
If isotonic, $7.65\times V=\large\frac{W}{180}$$\times 0.0821\times 310$
$\therefore \large\frac{W}{V}=$$54.1g/lit$=5.41%(Wt/vol)
Hence (A) is the correct answer.
