In a parallel plate capacitor with air between the plates, each plate has an area of $6 \times 10^{–3} m^2$ and the distance between the plates is 3 mm. If this capacitor is connected to a $100\; V$ supply, what is the charge on each plate of the capacitor?

$A= 6 \times 10^{-3} m^2$
$d= 3 \times 10^{-3} m$
$C= \large\frac{a \in_0}{d} =\frac{6 \times 10^{-3} \times 8.86 \times 10^{-12}}{3 \times 10^{-3}}$
$\qquad= 1.77 \times 0^{-11} Farad$
$q=CV$
$q= (1.77 \times 10^{-11})(100) $
$\quad= 1.77 \times 10^{-9}\;coulomb$
Hence B is the correct answer.
