A $12\; pF$ capacitor is connected to a $50\; V$ battery. How much electrostatic energy is stored in the capacitor?

$C= 12 pF$
$V=50 V$
$U= \large\frac{1}{2} $$CV^2$
$\quad= \large\frac{1}{2} $$ \times 12 \times 10^{-12} \times 50 \times 50$
=>$1.5 \times 10^{-8} \;J$
Hence A is the correct answer.
