A source of potential $12\; V$ is connected to a system of two capacitors of capacitances $2 \; \mu F$ and $6\; \mu F$. When both the capacitors are connected in series, then the charge on each plate of the capacitor of capacitance $2 \mu F$ is $2 \mu C$. What is the ratio of the total energy stored in the system when the capacitors are connected in parallel and when they are connected in series?
