Find the mean deviation about the mean for data :

$\begin{array}{1 1}(A)\;157.92\\(B)\;3\\(C)\;2\\(D)\;7\end{array} $

Step 2:
Mean $\bar{x} = A+ \large\frac{\sum f_i d_i}{\sum f_i} $$ \times h$
$\qquad= 350+\large\frac{4}{50} $$ \times 100$
$\qquad= 350+8$
$\bar {x} =358$
Step 3:
Mean deviation about the mean $= \large\frac{\sum f_i |x_i -\bar{x}|}{\sum f_i}$
$\qquad= \large\frac{7896}{50}$$=157.92$
Hence A is the correct answer.
