- The formula used to solve this problem, Probability $P=\large\frac{n(E)}{n(S)}$

Probability the card is an ace

In a pack of 52 cards,there are 4 aces

$\therefore n(E)=4$

Probability of event getting an ace $P=\large\frac{n(E)}{n(S)}$

$\Rightarrow \large\frac{4}{52}$

$\Rightarrow \large\frac{1}{13}$
