A king,9 of hearts or 3 of spades

$\therefore$ Sample space S=52

Number of kings in a deck of 52 cards =4

Number of 9 of hearts deck of 52 cards =1

Number of 3 of spades deck of 52 cards =1

Step 2:

$\therefore n(E)=4+1+1=6$

Probability =$\large\frac{n(E)}{n(S)}$

$\Rightarrow \large\frac{6}{52}$

$\Rightarrow \large\frac{3}{26}$
