Determine the probability P,for each of the following events.A king ,9 of hearts,or 3 of spades appears in drawing a single card from a well shuffled ordinary deck of 52 cards.

$\begin{array}{1 1}(A)\;\large\frac{3}{26}\\(B)\;\large\frac{4}{25}\\(C)\;\large\frac{3}{19}\\(D)\;\large\frac{5}{26}\end{array} $

Step 1:
A king,9 of hearts or 3 of spades
$\therefore$ Sample space S=52
Number of kings in a deck of 52 cards =4
Number of 9 of hearts deck of 52 cards =1
Number of 3 of spades deck of 52 cards =1
Step 2:
$\therefore n(E)=4+1+1=6$
Probability =$\large\frac{n(E)}{n(S)}$
$\Rightarrow \large\frac{6}{52}$
$\Rightarrow \large\frac{3}{26}$
Hence (A) is the correct answer.
