The initial and final temperature of water in a container are observed as $15 \pm 0.5^{C}$ and $40 \pm 0.2 ^{\circ}$ what is the rise in temperature ?

$\begin{array}{1 1}(A)\;25 \pm 0.7 ^{\circ}C \\(B)\;2.3 \pm 0.7 ^{\circ}C \\(C)\;0.98 \pm 0.7^{\circ} C \\(D)\;2.5 \pm0.9 ^{\circ} C \end{array} $

$\Delta \theta= \theta_2- \theta_1$
$\qquad=(40 \pm 0.2)^{\circ} C -(15 \pm 0.5 )^{\circ}$
$\qquad= (40- 15)^{\circ} C \pm (0.2 + 0.5 )^{\circ}$
$\qquad= 25 \pm 0.7^{\circ}$
Hence A is the correct answer.
