The greatest distance to which a man throw a stone is a. The greatest height to which he can throw it will be

$\begin{array}{1 1}(A)\;a\\(B)\;a/2 \\(C)\;2a\\(D)\;a/3 \end{array} $

$a= \large\frac{v_0^2 \sin 2 \times 45^{\circ}}{g}$
and $H= \large\frac{v_0^2}{2g}$
$H= \large\frac{a}{2}$
Hence B is the correct answer.
