Toolbox:
  • (1)\(P(A\cup\;B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap\;B)\)
  • \(P(A\cap\;B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cup\;B)\)
  • (2)\(P(A/B)=\frac{P(A\cap\;B)}{P(B)}\)
  • (3)\(P(A/B)=\frac{P(A\cup\;B)}{P(B)}\)
\(P(A)=\frac{6}{11}\;P(B)=\frac{5}{11}\;P(A\cup\;B)\frac{7}{11}\)
\(using\;data\;and\;formula\)
(1)\(P(A\cup\;B)=\frac{6}{11}+\frac{5}{11}-\frac{7}{11}\)
\(P(A/B)=\frac{\frac{4}{11}}{\frac{5}{11}}=\frac{4}{5}\)
\(P(A/B)=\frac{\frac{4}{11}}{\frac{6}{11}}=\frac{4}{6}\)
