For an ideal binary liquid solution with $p_A^* > p_B^*$,which of the following relations between $x_A$ (mole fraction of A in liquid phase) and $y_A$ (mole fraction of A in vapour phase) is correctly represented?

$\begin{array}{1 1}x_A=y_A\\x_A > y_A\\x_A < y_A\\x_A\text{ and }y_A\text{ cannot be correlated with each other}\end{array} $

Answer : $x_A < y_A$
The vapour contains more of the volatile component as compared to that present in the solution,i.e. $x_A < y_A$
