Given : $E^{\large\circ}(Cu^{2+}|Cu)=0.337V$ and $E^{\large\circ}(Sn^{2+}|Sn)=-0.136V$.Which of the following statements is correct?

$\begin{array}{1 1}Cu^{2+}\text{ ions can be reduced by }H_2(g)\\Cu\text{ can be oxidized by }H^+\\Sn^{2+}\text{ ions can be reduced by }H_2(g)\\Cu\text{ can reduce }Sn^{2+}\end{array} $

Answer : $Cu^{2+}$ ions can be reduced by $H_2(g)$
A positive potential implies that the given ion has a larger tendency to reduce as compared to $H^+$.Thus $cu^{2+}$ ion can be reduced by $H_2(g)$
