An aqueous solution of HCl has 2% mass of HCl and a density of $1.02gcm^{-3}$ .The numerical values of molarity and molality,respectively, are

Answer : 0.559,0.559
Mass of HCl=2g
Mass of water=98g
Amount of HCl =$(2g/36.5gmol^{-1})=0.0548mol$
Volume of 100g HCl solution =$100g/1.02gmL^{-1}=98.03mL$
Molarity of HCl=$n/V=0.0548mol/98.08\times 10^{-3}L=0.559molL^{-1}$
Molality of HCl=$n/m_1=0.0548mol/98\times 10^{-3}kg=0.559molkg^{-1}$
