State whether the statement "Circle is a particular case of an ellipse." is true or false. Give reason.

The given statement is
"Circle is a particular case of an ellipse."
This statement is true. Because in the equation of ellipse $\large\frac {x^2}{a^2}+\frac{y^2}{b^2}$
if $a=b$, then it becomes a circle.
