A compound formed by elements A and B crystallizes in cubic structure where A atoms are at the corners of a cube and B atoms are at the face-centre.What is the formula of the compound?

A atoms are at eight corners of the cube.
Therefore,the number of A atoms in the unit cell =$\large\frac{8}{8}$$=1$
B atoms are at the face-centre of six faces.
Therefore,its share in the unit cell =$\large\frac{6}{2}$$=3$
$\therefore$ The formula is $AB_3$
