Figure shows the top view of two horizontal forces pulling a box along the floor the box is displaced 70cm along the broken line?What is the total work done by the two forces in pulling the box this distance?

Answer : 81.2J
In each case take the component of the force in the direction of the displacement :
$(85\cos 30^{\large\circ}N)(0.70m)=51.5$J
$(60\cos 45^{\large\circ}N) (0.70m)=29.7$J
Work is a scalar,so add the work done by each force to give
$51.5J+29.7J=81.2J$
