In the matrix $A=\begin{bmatrix} a & 1 & x \\ 2 & \sqrt 3 & x^2 y \\ 0 & 5 & \frac{2}{5} \end{bmatrix}$, write the elements $a_{23}$, $a_{31}$, $a_{12}$

  • Elements of matrix: aij It is element lying in the ith row and jth column.
$a_{23}\rightarrow$ Means $2^{nd}$ row $3^{rd}$ column.
$\;\;\;\;\;\;\rightarrow x^2y.$
$a_{31}\rightarrow$ Means $3^{rd}$ row $1^{st}$ column.
$\;\;\;\;\;\;\rightarrow 0.$
$a_{12}\rightarrow$ Means $1^{st}$ row $2^{nd}$ column.
$\;\;\;\;\;\;\rightarrow 1.$
