Q)

# Two angles form a linear pair. the measure of one angle is four times the measure of the other angle. find the measure of the smaller angle

$( A ) 40^{\circ} \\ ( B ) 30^{\circ} \\ ( C ) 36^{\circ} \\ ( D ) 46^{\circ}$

Linear Pair = $180^{\circ}$
$\therefore$ x+4x = 180
x= $\large\frac{180}{5}$
x = $36^{\circ}$
180 - 36 = $144^{\circ}$
Hence the smaller angle is $36^{\circ}$
