$3\large\frac{1}{2}$$ = \large\frac{3 \times 2 + 1}{2}$$=\large\frac{7}{2}$
Therefore, the expression evaluates to $\large\frac{14}{3}$$ - \large\frac{7}{2}$$= \large\frac{14 \times 2}{6} $$-\large\frac{7 \times 3}{6}$
$\;\; \; \; = \large\frac{28-21}{6}$$ = \large\frac{7}{6}$$ = 1 \large\frac{1}{6}$
