Q)

How many more unit squares have to be shaded in order to have one-fifth of this figure shaded?

A)
There are a total of 80 square boxes in the figure. If we want one fifth shaded, we want $\large\frac{1}{5} $$\times 80 = 16\;$ shaded boxes.
Currently, we can count 14 unit square boxes that are shaded.
Therefore we need 16 - 14 = 2 more boxes to be shaded.
