Siva used up one third of a cup of apple juice in place of one fourth of a cup of orange juice.
Four fourths make one whole cup. Therefore for 1 cup of orange juice, he used $4 \times \large\frac{1}{3}$$ = \large\frac{4}{3}$$ = 1\large\frac{1}{3}$ cups of apple juice
