A)
Money in his account at the beginning of May $=24,000$
Money he withdrew in May (one-fifth) $= \large\frac{1}{5}$$\; \times \;24,000 = 4,800 Money that remained after this withdrawl = 24,000 - 4,800 = 19,200 Money he withdrew in June (three-fourths of the remainder) = \large\frac{3}{4} \;$$\times\;19,200 = 14,400$
Money he added in July $= 5,000$.
Total money at the end of July $= 5,000+14,400 = 19,400$
