  • The number of elements in an $m\times n$ matrix will be equal to mn
Given
$A=\begin{bmatrix} 2 & 5 & 19 & -7 \\ 35 & -2 & \frac{5}{2} & 12 \\ \sqrt 3 & 1 & -5 & 17 \end{bmatrix}$
The above given matrix have 3 rows and 4 column.
$\rightarrow $ m=3 n=4
The number of elements= mn = $3\times 4$=12.
The number of elements=12.
