A thin uniform rod of mass M and length l is free to rotate about a fixed smooth horizontal axis located at its one of it ends. A point mass hits horizontally with velocity v to the other end. When it hits, it sticks to the rod, then find angular acceleration and min value of v for the rod to rotate by an angle 90°.
