A)
Moulds cannot make their own food. Mould hyphae grow over the surface and inside nearly all substances of plant or animal origin.Plants contain a chemical compound called chlorophyll.Chlorophyll makes it possible for plants to capture the energy of sunlight and use it to make food(sugars and starches) from air and water. Unlike plants, molds and other fungi have no chlorophyll and can't make their own food.
