The modulus of the complex number $2+i\sqrt{3}$ is

\[\begin{array}{1 1}(1)\sqrt{3}&(2)\sqrt{13}\\(3)\sqrt{7}&(4)7\end{array}\]

$z= 2 +i \sqrt 3$
$|z|=\sqrt {2^2+3}$
$\quad= \sqrt {4+3}$
$\quad= \sqrt 7$
Hence 3 is the correct answer.
